This excellent package of repointing tools has everything required
for a competent DIY'er to undertake the work themselves...just add your own angle grinder!

Included in the package are the following items

  • Joran dust extracting guide plate complete with 4 adaptor rings to fit the majority of angle grinder.

    • You should take the disk guard off of your grinder (the guide plate replaces this) and measure the diameter of the boss. The plate will fit directly on to a 50mm boss or with the relevant adaptor fitted either 45, 43, 42.5 & 41mm variants.
  • Joran rotary Tungsten Carbide rotary chisel rakes - 2 x 8mm diameter (10 & 12mm also available).
    You should use a rake 2mm smaller that the joint you will be using it in i.e. a 8mm rake is suitable for a 10mm joint.
  • The Pro-Point heavy duty mortar and grouting gun comes as a comprehensive kit including three nozzles (mortar, deep injecting mortar & grouting) along with a mortar mixing turbine.
  • Brick Jointer - Hardened & tempered blade.

  • 5 x 15g sachets of easy dose EVERMIX PMP powdered mortar plasticizer (one sachet will dose 50kg of cement). EVERMIX PMP acts as an air entraining plasticizing admixture, which forms extremely stable air bubbles in mortar mixes. This improves the workability of mortar and flow through the Pro-Point gun, giving it a "buttery" consistency and helps prevent shrinkage, cracking, crazing and mild frost damage during the curing process, as well as providing long term resistance to freeze/thaw cycles.

    The Joran Tools of Denmark range of mortar rakes offer an superb combination of longevity, efficiency and price. The two piece design will also save considerable amount of money over the other single part models available elsewhere. The spindle adaptor included in this kit can be used over and over again just screw in a new chisel rake when the cutting edges dull and off you go again! The tungsten carbide cutters are a far less invasive than conventional diamond discs and coupled with the Joran cleverly articulated guide plate it is possible to dramatically reduce potentially hazardous dusts and mess (when linked to a suitable vacuum device). The guide plate also assists in the accurate following of the mortar joints and also allows the setting of the depth the joints are raked out to...damn clever these Danes!
